1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Guardian Angel application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service. This agreement applies to all users, including those who submit reports ("Reporters") and those who access the administrative analytics dashboard ("Administrators").
2. Description of Service
Guardian Angel provides a platform for anonymously reporting non-emergency community issues such as drug activity, mental health episodes, homeless encampments, and vandalism. These reports are aggregated and displayed on a private analytics dashboard for review by authorized Administrators to help identify trends and allocate resources.
THIS SERVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR 911. IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY, DIAL 911 IMMEDIATELY.
3. User Conduct and Responsibilities
As a Reporter, you agree not to submit information that is knowingly false, malicious, defamatory, or intended to harass or mislead. You agree not to upload any media that is illegal, obscene, or violates the privacy of others. The purpose of this service is to provide helpful, good-faith information to improve community safety. Misuse of the service may result in your access being blocked.
4. Anonymity and Data Privacy
Reports are submitted anonymously. We do not collect personal identifying information such as your name, IP address, or precise, real-time location data without your explicit action (e.g., using the "Use My Location" feature). The location information, report details, and any uploaded media are stored and used for the analytics dashboard. While we strive to maintain your anonymity, we cannot guarantee it if you include identifying information in your report details or media.
5. Administrator Responsibilities
As an Administrator, you are granted access to sensitive data. You agree to use the analytics dashboard solely for the purpose of community resource planning and trend analysis. You must maintain the confidentiality of the data and not share access to the dashboard with unauthorized individuals. You are responsible for verifying the information from reports and using it ethically and responsibly. The "Mark as Spam" feature should be used to maintain data integrity.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information submitted by reporters. The data on the analytics dashboard is for informational purposes only and should not be the sole basis for decision-making. We are not responsible for the actions taken or not taken based on the information provided through the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Guardian Angel or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
